There are lots of cool free sleepover party games ideas that you can find on the Internet.
Especially good are those websites that let people add their own ideas of stuff to do at a sleepover.
Search sites like Yahoo answers, Answerbag and eHow for lots of tips from parents and kids.
Some useful tips include:

  • Preparation: Make sure you have plenty of sleepover party games prepared including all the props and instructions. Maybe even play the games through beforehand so you know how it is going to work out.
  • Snacks: Junk food is probably going to be the order of the day, but include some healthy options in there as well! Usual sleepover food includes pizza, fondue, crisps and dips. But you could also include a tray of pieces of fresh fruit or crunchy veggies with dips.
  • Smaller groups of children is better in terms of making sure everyone is involved and is more fun for the kids as well.
  • Adaptability: In case you have decided to have the sleepover or play the games outdoors, make sure have games for inside as well in case the weather turns bad. Similarly, some games may not pan out as you hope, kids can be unpredictable so make sure to keep an eye out for games that are not going as they should and move onto the next one. This is where looking on the Net for party games ideas is useful in finding out what kind of games have worked well for other parents and kids. And of course, ask your children what games they have like playing at other sleepovers.

5 Sleepover Party Games Ideas:
1. Dressing up games: split into teams and race to dress up one of your team in assorted clothes, if you have a theme use themed items, or wrap them in toilet paper like a mummy!
2. Musical sleeping bags: like musical chairs but using sleeping bags.
3. Blind Makeover: one person is blindfolded and then has to make-over a second person!
4. Charades: if there is a theme of the sleepover, then you could include themed items or movies to act out for others to guess.
5. Craft games: each person brings a plain (cheap) t-shirt. Then provide them with plenty of bits so that they can decorate them. You can find all sorts of things for kids to use at craft shops, like stick-on letters and pictures or fabric pens that they can use to draw or write stuff on their t-shirts. They could also create matching t-shirts to celebrate the sleepover and something for them to take home as a memento of the sleepover party.
